The Sue & Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center

The first dedicated stem cell research center in California and home to the researchers behind the first FDA-approved, human clinical trial in the world for embryonic stem cell-based therapy, the Sue & Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center at the University of California is defining the field.

Stem cells hold the potential to rewrite the rules of medicine and represent perhaps our greatest opportunity to develop better, safer drugs and game-changing treatments for patients battling cancer, stroke, spinal cord injury, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson's, Huntington’s Disease, diabetes, age-related blindness, multiple sclerosis, and countless other diseases.
